Chhattisgarh DGP slams CRPF for ignoring intelligence info

After the killing of 27 soldiers in a Maoist ambush, Vishwa Ranjan Singh, the Director General of Police of Chhattisgarh, on Thursday slammed the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for ignoring information given to them by intelligence agencies. He further said the CRPF personnel were informed of Maoist movement in their areas, and were asked to set up the ambush. He said they ignored the tip and were subsequently attacked on June 29.
