Chidambaram calls for wider discussions on Lokpal Bill
Updated on Jun 01, 2011 09:21 pm IST
Home Minister P Chidambaram on Tuesday opined that the Lokpal Bill needs a wider ambit of discussions by the review and drafting committee with the state governments and political parties than what it presently has achieved. While interacting with the mediapersons along with Telecommunications and Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal in New Delhi, Chidambaram stated that the purview of discussions on the Lokpal Bill has to be extended from its present ambit as evident from the discussions at the Joint Drafting Committee (JDC) over the last couple of meetings.
