Chinese telecom groups meet Pillai over security concerns

A delegation of Chinese telecom company, ZTE Corporation, accompanied by Zhang Yan,China's Ambassador to India met India's Home Secretary,GK Pillai at New Delhi on Thursday. The meeting took place following concerns expressed by India's Home Ministry over security vis-a-vis commissioning and operation of Chinese-made telecom systems and the reported restriction on their imports. Pillai asked for further clarifications before the matter can be further discussed and resolved.
