Civil societies to observe hunger strike for Irom Sharmila

Non-governmental organizations and civil bodies on Sunday announced to observe a nationwide daylong hunger strike on November 5, in support of 'Iron lady', Irom Sharmila. The fast will be held on the concluding day of the 12-day nationwide march for 'Save Sharmila Campaign'. Earlier anti-graft crusader, Anna Hazare and his core team extended their support to Sharmila's protest. The nationwide demonstration was planned as part of the two-month long signature campaign for Sharmila's struggle.The signatures will be handed over to the President on the occasion of the, International Human Rights Day, on December 10.
