Communists stage protest against Maoists violence

Members and supporters of Communists Party of India-Marxists on Thursday staged a sit-in demonstration in national capital New Delhi to protest against the violence by Maoists in the Mednapore region of West Bengal. Brinda Karat, member of the Politburo of CPI-M told reporters that the local villagers in Medinipur and elsewhere should not fall prey to the conspiracy hatched by Maoists and other vested interests.
