Community kitchen along the route to Amarnath
Updated on Jun 24, 2008 09:34 pm IST
In an effort to ease the difficult pilgrimage to the cave shrine at Amarnath Yatra, several community kitchens have been set up at various base camps. These community kitchens serve food to pilgrims, free of cost. Popularly known as 'Langars', these have been organised by several NGO's and private individuals. Pilgrims said that the arrangements made by the community kitchens, may not be the best, but they are satisfied enough.
