Cong mocks BJP over PM candidature fiasco
Updated on Jan 29, 2013 12:22 pm IST
The Congress party mocked the BJP over the ongoing debacle and divide over fielding Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi as its Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2014 general elections. Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha sparked a row by batting for Modi as the party's Prime Ministerial candidate. Meanwhile in Nagpur BJP Chief Rajnath Singh remained evasive by saying that selection of either chief Ministerial candidate or Prime Ministerial candidate is an affair of central high command of the party. Echoing similar views, senior BJP leader C P Thakur in Patna defended Sinha by calling his remark a suggestion.
