Congress defends Vadra, opposition demands judicial probe

Updated on Oct 06, 2012 07:34 pm IST

Slamming Sonia Gandhi's son in law Robert Vadra, the BJP today once again demanded a proper enquiry into his assets, after activist Arvind Kejriwal on Friday accused him of receiving kickbacks from DLF. CPI (M) Leader Brinda Karat also asked for an investigation into the matter. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that there is no need for Kejriwal to go ahead with the expose, since there have been several times, when such financial irregularities have come to the surface in his regard. Angry at the charges, Congress activists in Madhya Pradesh today burnt Kejriwal's effigy and shouted slogans against him.
