In a bid to put an end to all the speculations surrounding the widening rift with its key ally, finance minister Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday said that said the alliance between Congress and DMK would continue. He said this after meeting DMK chief M Karunanidhi in Chennai over the issue. The meeting came shortly after the resignation of DMK leader Dyanidhi Maran as the central textiles minister, after facing heat over his alleged role in the multi-billion dollar 2G spectrum allocation scam.
