Cops, telecom retailers team up to combat Maoism

In an attempt to combat the Maoist insurgency plaguing the state, top brass of police in Jharkhand have taken steps to make acquisition of a cell phone connection tougher. DIG of police for Palamu Range, Praveen Kumar, addressed a gathering of cell phone retailers at Latehar and instructed them to be more stringent with verification rules, so that the cards do not fall into the wrong hands.
