Couldn't find a liver to save Vilasrao: doctor

Chairman and managing director of Global Hospitals, Dr K Ravindranath said that Union science and technology minister Vilasrao Deshmukh died as a liver could not be arranged for transplantation. Making the official announcement to mediapersons of Deshmukh's passing in Chennai, Ravindranath said the search for a functioning liver was going on for several days but a donor could not be arranged. Meanwhile leaders across various political lines expressed grief at the unfortunate incident.
