CPI (M) slams Mamata over Singur verdict

CPI (M) Leader, Nilotpal Basu today supported verdict of the Calcutta High Court after it declared the Singur Land Rehabilitation and Development Act, 2011 as unconstitutional vindicating the stand of motor giant, Tata giving a huge blow to West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee. Interacting with reporters Basu slammed the approach taken by Banerjee and said that farmers and landowners would face wrath of the current situation. Meanwhile, TMC leader Partho Chatterjee said that the state government was awaiting a copy of the verdict and would take appropriate action later.
