Kashmir Valley continued to remain under curfew for the fourth consecutive day on Monday due to shutdown call given by separatists. Police officials said Curfew has been imposed in Srinagar, Sopore and Bandipora towns to prevent any violence in wake of shutdown call given by Hurriyat hardline faction leader Syed Ali Shah Gilani. Restrictions in other towns like Baramulla, Anantnag, Pulwama and Handwara are expected to be reviewed today. Meanwhile, yesterday Independence Day celebrations passed off peacefully even as curfew remained imposed in several regions of the valley as separatists had given a call to mark August 15 as black day.
