CWG scam too big, order JPC probe

BJP Chief Nitin Gadkari in a press meet today demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe in the alleged financial irregularities in Commonwealth Games transactions, stating it was a very big a scam. The party chief said the cost for the Games had escalated from its initial amount of Rs 2,000 crore budget to Rs 70,000 crore in seven years. He demanded the ongoing CWG probe, or the investigation into these irregularities, should include all agencies of the Centre as well as those of the Delhi government.
