Dantewada: Sarpanch beaten to death by naxals

Chattisgarh continues to be the epicentre of Naxal activities resulting in massive violations of the right to life of the civilians. In a recent incident, Naxals killed Suresh Tamu, a sarpanch of Bade Kameli village in Chattisgarh's Dantewada district. On March 11, Naxals detained him from his house and later his body was found in the nearby forest area. Suresh Tamu was brutally beaten by the rebels, which resulted in his death.
