Decision soon on Food Security Bill: PM

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday said that the government would soon study the recommendations of the National Advisory Council (NAC) on the Food Security Bill.The government plans to give subsidized grains to 75 percent of the billion-plus population by implementing the Food Security Bill.The bill will enable every person Below Poverty Line to receive 25 kilograms of wheat or rice per month at the rate of Rupees three per kilogram.
