The legendary 94 year old soldier Sam Manekshaw has faded away but his memories still glisten like medal in the eyes of his men. Defence Minister A.K. Antony and the commanders of the three wings of the Defence forces on Monday paid a formal tribute to the first Field Marshall of India in New Delhi. They also signed a condolence book in memory of Sam Manekshaw, after controversy erupted over their absence at his state funeral on Friday.
