Delhi gangrape: SC rejects plea to shift trial

In a recent development, in the infamous Delhi gang-rape case, the Supreme Court has today rejected a plea made by one of the accused seeking transfer of trial outside Delhi. Accused Mukesh had sought the shifting of the case, following apprehensions he would not get free and fair trial in the city. Meanwhile, even as the Juvenile Justice Board declared the sixth accused in the barbaric act a juvenile, citing there was no doubt about his birth certificates he furnished, father of the victim is all set to appeal in higher court against the decision.Keywords: Delhi gang-rape case, Supreme Court, Trial, Juvenile Justice Board
