Festive fervour and celebrations gripped the country on the occasion of Ashthami, the eighth day of the Hindu festivals of Navratri and Durga Puja, both in honour of Goddess Durga, on Friday. Meanwhile, the Kanyaka Parameswari temple in Visakhapatnam also saw huge wads of cash decorating the goddess as part of the celebrations.
