Former Rutgers University student Dharun Ravi was sentenced today to 30-days in prison for spying on his gay roommate. The acts were termed biased, but the accused received a lighter sentence as the judge ruled that 'they did not reach the level of a hate crime'. Indian-origin Ravi had faced a maximum of 10 years behind bars for his conviction for using a webcam to invade the privacy of his roommate, Tyler Clementi, and another man in their college dorm room.
