Different faiths, one lineage and a common smile. The village Sihaeejpar in the Gorakhpur District of Uttar Pradesh is an apt index of communal amity. This village has been home to Hindu and Muslim communities and the families here share the same surname among other things. According to the elders of both the communities, they are carrying the title Shahi as a legacy of their ancestors.
