Digvijay defends Ering over Ramdev spat
Updated on Feb 23, 2011 09:27 pm IST
Congress Senior leader Digvijay Singh on Wednesday defended northeastern lawmaker Ninong Ering, who allegedly abused yoga guru Baba Ramdev for giving a political speech at a recent Yoga session in Arunachal Pradesh. Ering, however, in an interview with Asian News International agency on Tuesday denied abusing the yoga guru. The lawmaker pointed out that he had only objected to Ramdev using his yoga camps to further his political agenda, which resulted in an argument between the two. He further offered to resign as lawmaker if the allegations are found true.
