From the moment Dinesh Trivedi had announced his Union rail budget, he had stepped into the eye of a storm. Sacked unceremoniously by his chief, Mamata Banerjee, for his temerity in raising railway passenger fares, Trivedi says he never considered politics to be a career and still believes he had done the right thing by following his heart.
