Divided by 60 years of destiny

As India and Pakistan celebrate 60 years of independence from Britain and the subsequent formation of the two states, the pangs of division still haunt those families separated by the partition. In 1947, millions of people found themselves on the wrong side of the border following mass migration triggered by violence and bloodshed. About 12 million Muslims, Sikhs and Hindus, fled for their lives during partition, almost a million died.
