Dont delay food security bill: Kamal Nath

Updated on Jun 12, 2013 07:39 pm IST

Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Kamal Nath stressed that there should be prompt passing of food security bill in the parliament. Politicos are at loggerheads that the Food Security Bill should be discussed in the Parliament before being enacted for implementation rather than being publicly declared through an ordinance or a gazette notification. The Congress is pushing to pass the National Food Security Bill before elections, which are due by May 2014. Meanwhile in New Delhi, Nath blamed the BJP for delay in passing of the bill.
