EC announces Lok Sabha polls schedule

The Election Commission on Wednesday announced the schedule for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls. Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath announced that there will be 9 poll days starting from April 07 and counting of LS polls will take place on May 16.The model code of conduct prevents the government from making any decisions that can be seen as influencing voters. It also prohibits political parties from making unsubstantiated allegations against opponents.
