Updated on Apr 09, 2009 12:27 am IST
Arun Jaitley, leader of India's main opposition BJP alleged that the Election Commission practises double standards and condemned it. He said this while speaking to media persons at the temple city of Varanasi on Tuesday. Jaitley said that just like the Election Commission advised the Bharatiya Janata Party not to field Gandhi scion Varun Gandhi in the ensuing elections, it should also give a similar advice to India's ruling United Progressive Alliance vis-à-vis Lalu Prasad.
