Elections to be held for Sri Lanka Tamils

Sri Lanka's Reconciliation Minister has confirmed that elections will be held in areas affected by the recent fighting once the displaced people have been resettled.Vinayagamoorthi Muralitharan, a former rebel commander, also known as Col Karuna,said the polls would address the grievances of the Tamil minority and expressed his hopes of Tamil people getting involved in the future political process.
