Enthused people participate in anti-drugs marathon

Scores of people today participated in an anti-drugs awareness marathon in Shimla. The marathon was organized by the Himachal Pradesh police to spread awareness among the youth to avoid use of tobacco and other hazardous drugs. Many participants from Punjab, Haryana and Delhi along with police, army, paramilitary and locals participated in the marathon. School children also enthusiastically participated in the marathon to raise voice against the ill effects of drug use. Through the marathon the organizers also wanted to create awareness about clean and green environment. The marathon was divided in three events- 21.5-kilometre half marathon, 10-kilometre mini-marathon and 3-kilometre dream run.
