Farm literacy campaign launched in Amritsar

District administration in Amritsar, the capital of Punjab has initiated a farm literacy campaign to educate farmers on timing the sowing operations for their paddy crop. Most farmers of Punjab especially in the border areas have been traditionally harvesting their fields while taking three crops of wheat and paddy in a year weakening the productivity of their land. A month-long campaign was launched in 8 blocks of the border district of Amritsar to educate farmers.
