Farmers demand compensation

Farmers on the Indian side of the India Pakistan border owning small stretches of agricultural land have urged the government to take the land and pay them compensation. Most farmers in the area are so poor but are unwilling to part with their small stretches of land until they get adequate compensation. To farm these lands they depend on the Border Security Force for protection.
