Farmers in Punjab diversify to pisciculture

Fish farming or Pisciculture is fast catching up in Punjab, as farmers are taking it up as a means to earn livelihood alongside traditional farming. Punjab government is also encouraging the farmers in the new trade. The government recently distributed six million fish seeds to farmers including Grass Carp, Silver Carp, Big Head Carp and Gulfam.
