Updated on Aug 16, 2011 08:56 pm IST

While half of India has come in full support of Anna Hazare, a section of society has opposed the veteran social activist, fighting against the corruption. Few locals in the national capital staged candle light vigil on Monday to denounce and demonstrate against the modes adapted by Anna to counter corruption and nepotism. Meanwhile, former civil servant from Mumbai, G R Khairnar indirectly stated, the objectionable steps being taken by civil society members, the government got an opportunity to intervene in the Lokpal Bill. Hours after the Delhi Police denied permission to Hazare to go ahead with plans for an indefinite fast on Tuesday, he made an unscheduled visit to the Rajghat, memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, to protest against the clampdown.
