FIFA bans Syria from 2014 World Cup

FIFA have confirmed that the Syrian football team has been disqualified from the 2014 World Cup after fielding an ineligible player in qualifiers. Tajikistan will replace Syria in Group C of World Cup qualifiers along with Japan, Uzbekistan and North Korea.
