Fire breaks out in Presidency University in Kolkata

A major fire broke out at the newly formed Presidency University in Kolkata on Friday. The fire began at around 4 am on the third floor of the university's Derozio Building, and soon spread across the entire level. Eleven fire brigades were deployed to douse the inferno in the building that houses the chemistry department. Principal of Presidency College Amitabha Chattopadhyay added that there is a good amount of damage but the extent is yet to be ascertained.
