Five bombs explode in Delhi, 18 killed

Five bombs exploded in quick succession in crowded markets and streets in New Delhi on September 13, killing at least 18 people and injuring scores more, police said. Injured have been rushed to various hospitals in the city. Police and witnesses said two went off in dustbins in and around Connaught Place. Others exploded within minutes of each other in busy markets around the city. Home Minister Shivraj Patil condemned the attack and confirmed 18 deaths.
