Sanjib Sabhapandit, a Guwahati based mechanical engineer has designed a sort of tent house with all the basic amenities that is also capable of floating over flood waters. He has christened this flood capsule as Mother Shelter and it could be of great utility in the flood-prone areas. The expenditure incurred in building a single Mother Shelter is almost rupees 42,000 but the cost would decrease in the due course of time and also as per demand.
