Floodwater washes away almost dozen villages in Chhattisgarh

Floodwater inundated more than 20 villages in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh. Following heavy rain over the past two days, the Indrawati River crossed the danger mark on Saturday in the district and submerged all the main roads linking with Bastar district. Almost 200 houses of Dongagaon village have been badly affected. State government has opened 45 relief centres and the flood-hit people have taken refuge in schools and community centres.
