Former PM Vajpayee's condition worsens

Former Prime Minister of India Atal Behari Vajpayee's condition deteriorated in the evening hours of Friday. Consequently, the team of specialists attending on Vajpayee at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences or AIIMS have placed him on mechanical ventilator. Medical Superintendent of AIIMS said that Vajpayee continues to have lower respiratory track infection, which has worsened since morning and has been put on mechanical ventilation.
