Govt assures strict action against Satyam officials

Corporate Affairs Minister PC Gupta said that government would take strict action against officials responsible for the Satyam fraud. Satyam, India's fourth-largest outsourcer, is battling for survival since January 7 when its founder Ramalinga Raju quit as chairman, while revealing in the country's biggest corporate scandal that company's profits have been falsified for years and $1 billion of cash and bank balances did not exist.
