Govt plan dollar 4 billion spending boost this fiscal

The Indian government said on Sunday, it planned dollar 4 billion of extra spending this fiscal year in an effort to revive fading economic growth hit by the global slowdown and to shore up confidence knocked by militants attacks on Mumbai. Meanwhile welcoming the measure, industrial lobby Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry or FICCI said that step would boost production.
