Govt suspends FDI in retail; Logjam ends

Finally, the FDI logjam has been broken. The government, after meeting its allies and opposition parties at the all-party meeting on Wednesday, agreed to suspend 51% FDI in retail till a consensus was brought among all parties. The decision will now allow parliament to work, which was stalled for the last nine days, due to the ruckus by the opposition over the issue.
