Addressing the Global Minorities Meet in New Delhi on March 6, Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee stressed the need to guard the minority communities in the country from falling prey to the evil designs of fundamentalist forces. Mukherjee also highlighted the "need to ensure equality both in principal and in practice" saying that India needs to create conditions to enable the minority communities to achieve economic and cultural advancements.
