Updated on Oct 04, 2012 07:51 pm IST
The Madurai district local police today conducted a raid at the film production company of Union Minister MK Alagiri's son Durai Dayanidhi in lieu of the ongoing probe into the multi-crore illegal granite quarrying scam in Tamil Nadu. The sources said that the police searched the premises for nearly an hour. The Tamil Nadu government took action against the granite companies when the former Madurai collector, U Sahayam, submitted a report alleging that they violated the terms of their mining licenses in the granite quarries near Madurai.
