The rising aspirations of Indian consumers would lead to huge business opportunities, US retail giant Walmart's chief Mike Duke said on Tuesday. Wal-Mart, in an equal partnership with top telecom group Bharti Enterprise, operates four cash-and-carry outlets in India and also supplies to retail stores run by Bharti. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a seminar in national capital New Delhi, Duke said Walmart could significantly contribute to the booming Indian markets.
