Gujarat police arrest suspected Maoist

As India battles with the increasing naxal insurgency,the rebels are continuously expanding their hold in the country. Besides their strong hold in states like Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Bihar and Orissa, the Maoists have now spread their clutches even to Gujarat. Gujarat Police arrested a suspected Maoist from the industrial city of Surat on Monday. The arrested rebel was staying in the Godasar area of Surat for the past eight years with his wife and son.
