Hamid Ansari returns home after Belgium summit

Vice-President Hamid Ansari on Wednesday returned home after a two-day visit to Belgium during which he attended the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), which made a strong call for reform of the International Monetary Fund. At the ASEM summit, Ansari had cautioned the western world against using non-traditional protectionist measures as part of stimulus to revive their economies. While speaking to the reporters, en-route to India Ansari talked about terrorism, which was an agenda of ASEM, saying it is a sensitive issue and could not be ignored and needed the countries to come together to combat it.
