Hang me if I am guilty: Modi

In a candid interview to a popular Urdu daily, Guajarat chief minister Narendra Modi has clearly affirmed that he should be hanged if found guilty of his alleged involvement in the infamous 2002 communal riots in the state.Interestingly, the newspaper is edited by Samajwadi Party leader Shahid Siddiqui. Furthermore, Modi has demanded that if he was proved innocent, the media should apologise for tarnishing his image, while clearly stating that he was only concerned about Gujarat and itsdevelopment, rather than becoming the next Prime Minister.
