Hindu girl forays into learning Koran

A young girl is setting a unique example of communal harmony in India where even an off the cuff remark can lead to bloody Hindu-Muslim clashes. Nine-year-old Hemlata, a Hindu girl from Bihar is better known as Shabnam, (a Muslim name) among her classmates along with whom she studies Koran, the holy Muslim text. Hemlata goes to a Madrasa, a Muslim religious school that teaches Islamic theology and religious law, along with her other studies.
