Hindu women must have at least 4 children: BJP's Sakshi Maharaj
Updated on Jan 07, 2015 01:46 pm IST
BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj has once again stirred a controversy by saying all Hindu women must produce at least four children. While addressing a gathering on the occasion of Sant Samaagam Mahotsava in Meerut, he said, "The concept of four wives and 40 children will not work in India and the time has come when a Hindu woman must produce at least four children in order to protect Hindu religion." He also went on to say that those who converted from Hindu religion must be 'punished' through 'ghar-wapsi' (reconversion to Hindu religion).
